Vipsual store flagship was opening in the city centre of Granada, but they had not specified any furniture for it. Sergio, one of the owners, gave us a clear brief on what was needed: a central space for customers to try out the product and feel at home, and some side areas for them to discuss with the staff. The design concept was then clear: there would be three different zones to accommodate different activities. To highlight these zones, we used three different rugs within the brand’s colour scheme. We proposed a big central table with mix-match chairs, including wooden, upholstered, lower, and higher chairs, like what one would typically find at home. There would also be a high table with stools and a smaller table to the side. The lights above the main table would be large and dramatic, adding a further layer of detail that contrasted with the existing 19th-century stone columns.
